Both our Philadelphia and Berlin offices celebrate their one-year anniversaries this October, having opened their office doors for the first time one year ago this month. Twelve months on and both offices are growing faster than average in comparison to the other Frank Recruitment Group offices around the globe, including New York City and London.

To celebrate their incredible growth, and as a thank you to their dedicated staff, each office organized celebrations that included karaoke, champagne, mimosas, and cake!

A YEAR OF GROWTH IN BERLIN

The Berlin office is led by Director Kevin Frater. Since October 2016, Kevin has lead the way when it comes to Berlin’s growth and success.

When asked about the year anniversary, Kevin said: “The last year has been incredibly exciting for everyone involved with the Berlin Office. The fantastic city itself provides a great platform to attract talent and in turn, has brought us much closer to the wonderful clients and candidates that we work with across the DACH region on a daily basis. The quality of our people have been fundamental to the success we have seen and also the extremely high levels of service we are now able to offer our clients and candidates alike. We all look forward to further expansion and success here in Berlin going forwards.”

To celebrate one year in Berlin, the staff was treated to a night of delicious cake, a champagne toast, and drinks at the Newton Bar.

A YEAR OF GROWTH IN PHILADELPHIA

The Philadelphia office is led by Executive Vice President, Ian Clark. Since the office’s opening last year, Ian has led the charge of maintaining and managing the accelerated growth.

Of the Philadelphia office’s fantastic first year, Ian said: “The past year has brought us a lot of highs in Philadelphia. We are fully committed to establishing our footprint here in this great city of Philadelphia. Not only are we fortunate to have a large database of loyal clients and candidates, but we are very fortunate to have an office full of the most dedicated employees who love working here and building our growing global brand.

The past year has flown by and we could not be any happier with where we currently are, and where we’re headed.”

To celebrate their year anniversary, the Philadelphia office featured a weeks’ worth of fun festivities marking the occasion:

  • Things kicked off on Tuesday with a delicious anniversary cake and a great breakfast provided by the local Cosi restaurant.
  • The festivities continued on Wednesday with a mimosa toast that the entire staff participated in.
  • On Thursday, the staff went out for a fun night of karaoke.
  • And on Friday, the week concluded with some of the best pizza Philadelphia has to offer.

3 FUN FACTS ABOUT OUR OFFICE IN BERLIN

  1. Our Office is in a Very Prestigious Location

As for all our offices around the world, the Berlin office enjoys all the perks of its prestigious location; set in the very heart of the historic city centre, our team works right beside Gendarmenmarkt – one of Berlin’s most beautiful squares surrounded by two impressive cathedrals, the historic concert hall as well as classy bars, gourmet restaurants and luxury hotels. We particularly look forward to being right next to one of Europe’s most beautiful traditional Christmas markets, that will offer cozy, delicious Christmas food at our fingertips.

  1. We Have a Favorite Hangout Spot for 2nd Thursday Celebrations

After trying a couple of venues, the Berlin office has found their sweet spot for 2nd Thursday celebrations at Reingold Bar, a 1920’s American-style speakeasy in the heart of Berlin’s nightlife district Mitte. This elegant lounge is equipped with a cozy outdoor terrace and a friendly bar staff in 1920s attire that serve fancy cocktails and keep our team hooked until late into the night. Together with Newton Bar, Reingold is one of the best nightlife spots Berlin has to offer.

  1. We Love Lunch Club Celebrations

So far, our Berlin office has been treated to exquisite Lunch Clubs at stunning locations. Our first gourmet feast was held at the lofty restaurant inside the globe of Berlin’s iconic TV tower, featuring magnificent views over the German capital. Next stop was the Italian restaurant Bocca Di Bacco, where our Director Kevin treated Joanna, Roman, Leonard, Konstantin, Norman, Larissa and Sebastian to a delicious and fun evening.

3 THINGS YOU DIDN’T KNOW ABOUT OUR PHILADELPHIA OFFICE

  1. We Got a Special Visit from the Governor of Pennsylvania

This past May, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf stopped by our office for a tour and a chat with our managers, trainers, and consultants. The Philly office received a funding proposal from the Department of Community and Economic Development that includes a $350,000 Pennsylvania First Program grant and $500,000 in Job Creation Tax Credits to be distributed upon creation of new jobs. The Governor stopped in to commemorate this partnership.

  1. We Really Love Food

Food in the city of Philadelphia is some of the best food in the world. We have some of the best pizza, we have some of the best pubs, and most importantly… we have CHEESESTEAKS. The Philly staff takes full advantage of our center city location, and the massive amount of food options we have within walking distance of our office, each and every day,

  1. We Love and Support Each Other

There is no doubt that the Philly office is full of some of the most competitive people the company has seen. Day-in and day-out, everyone in Philly is pushing their counterparts to do more and be better. It can get a little intense at times, but at the end of the day, it’s all worth it. We all work hard to support each other and rally our comrades when they need it most.
To all of our colleagues in the Philadelphia and Berlin offices, congratulations on a successful year and here’s to many, many more!
